With the bases loaded in a tie game, the Dodgers pinch hit for the pitcher with Manny Ramirez. One grand slam later and the Dodgers are up 6-2.

And Manny was sitting out on account of getting hit on the hand with a pitch the night before. So as to minimize any problems he simply knocked the first pitch he saw outta the park.


Nice of the Phillies to lose for a change - even though the Cubs tried to give that game away but just weren't able to.
Cubs were up big several times but the Phils had runners on base all over the late innings and were one big hit away remaking the game about 4 or 5 times.

BoSox suddenly losers of 5 straight just as the Yanx are on a win streak so the top of that division has swapped. Think about this: the Yanx are 2 games better than Boston despite having lost all 8 games to them. IOW, the Yanx are [u:18mpkuse]10 games better[/u:18mpkuse] against neutral opponents! So, unless that changes over the last 60 games or the head-to-head oddity persists then there's going to be a lot of teeth-gnashing up in New England.
