bmfc1 Old-Timey Member Posted July 16, 2009 Posted July 16, 2009 Worthwhile article in The Times today by a guy who went to five Mets games within 18 days and saw the Mets get shutout each time.http://www.nytimes.com/2009/07/16/sports/baseball/16mets.html?_r=1&ref=sports
Guest Triple Dee Guests Posted July 16, 2009 Posted July 16, 2009 I actually thought this was going to happen to me. However, I know exactly how that guy feels. I have a similar record when I watch Arsenal at their new stadium -- Arsenal's record at Emirates Stadium with me in attendance is 0-4-2 and one of the draws was an aggregate loss in the Champions League, so it's effectively 0-5-1. Not a good feeling.
smg58 Old-Timey Member Posted July 16, 2009 Posted July 16, 2009 I remember going to two Mets games in 1999, when they had a slightly better offense than they do right now. They lost those two games by a combined score of 26-1.
