Frayed Knot Old-Timey Member Posted June 25, 2009 Posted June 25, 2009 The game among various prospects which is played during the ML-ASG week. It's not really an All-Star game itself in that it's not necessarily based on who's having the best season. It's more like a showcase for those dubbed as potential future stars and rigged so that not only is each organization represented but also each of the full-season minor leagues.RHP Jenrry Mejia (AA - Eastern Lg) & SS Wilmer Flores (Low-A So Atlantic) represent the Mets system.Rosters[/url:1cjztcnf]

If they're showing it on ESPN-- as they've done intermittently during the last few years-- it's a treat; I remember catching guys like Harden and Prior the year before they came up.Am curious to see folk/folk-tale-subjects like Pedro Alvarez, Kyle Drabek, Matusz and Viciedo in addition to our guys.themetfairy Jun 25 2009 04:57 PMI won't be at the Futures Game, but I'll be at the Eastern League All Star Game on July 15th.
