Guest John Cougar Lunchbucket Guests Posted March 23, 2009 Posted March 23, 2009 Hijinks ensue when a rehabbing junkie with a dark family secret attends her sister's wedding (uh, along with hundreds of musicians).
Guest themetfairy Guests Posted March 23, 2009 Posted March 23, 2009 It was an imperfect film but it featured some incredible acting. Anne Hathaway should have won the Best Actress Oscar for her performance here.
Guest sharpie Guests Posted March 23, 2009 Posted March 23, 2009 Agree, imperfect but interesting film. I thought Bill Irwin was also outstanding.
Guest John Cougar Lunchbucket Guests Posted March 23, 2009 Posted March 23, 2009 My problem with it is the same as my admiration for it: It wasn't much of a movie without all the musicians ... and yet, the guests had to be a focal point because without them, we're not really in this crowd to begin with ... yet making all the guests musicians was calculated and evil ... yet it was entertaining to have done that ...Anyway, I enjoyed it
Farmer Ted Old-Timey Member Posted April 13, 2009 Posted April 13, 2009 I didn't think the movie was great, but Anne was pretty damn good. Rosemarie Dewitt did a good job with her character, too.
