Churchie is standing at first after a hit down the line that should have been two bases. I'm officially speculating that his legs aren't 100%.

Then Churchie gets nailed on a delayed steal, same play Kielty got pegged on.

Something going on basepath-wise today. Something bad. Church is playing like his concussion is acting up again.

="David Lennon"]John Maine fixed? Expect to see a new-and-improved John Maine when he takes the mound Thursday. With the Mets off today, Maine skipped a scheduled round of golf and came in to "fix" his delivery this morning with pitching coach Dan Warthen. Maine threw roughly 50 pitches in the bullpen under Warthen's supervision and both were pleased with the session. He added about another eight inches to his stride, changed the grip on his slider and overall simplified his delivery. Warthen believes that Maine had been "babying" his arm and shoulder since the surgery. Now, with the longer stride, he should have more velocity on his pitches and better command. "That's still a golden arm," Warthen said. Maine's arm looked like it was made of lead so far this spring, with a 10.38 ERA in four starts, but he's feeling much more confident after today's session. "This is my fourth year here and people should know that's not how I pitch," Maine said. "I don't usually give up this many hits and stuff like that. It's not a normal thing for me and it's not going to be a normal thing. Three years of doing this here, I think people should know that I'm out there trying, I'm out there working on things, and it's going to be good to go by the beginning of the season."
