You build a roster which you associate with a particular manager.

When in doubt, go with the guy who isn't more associated with another guy. Yeah, Nino Espinosa and Jerry Koosman perhaps saw a few more total starts than John Pacella, but Espinosa was more of a Joe Frazier-era Met and Koos transended eras, and pitched some of his saddest Metballl under Torre, while Pacella's Met career fit right within Torre's era and was a Brooklyn Itialian.

Krane, of course, transended eras also, but his pinch-hitting career overlaps Torre's managerial career nicely.
