as the ChiSox were forced to fight all the way to the end (and beyond) and are starting a 14 game loser on account of it while the Rays rested up and are starting their titular ace.

Closer Troy Percival is not, but last year's #1 overall draft pick David Price (LHP) is on instead.

Can't say I have watched the Rays much but they have some live arms coming out of that bullpen , guys I never heard of.
