Way to get out of trouble.

I'd like to thank Yunel Excobar for giving us the first out of the game. Did Willie take over Atlanta?

I really do love this "First Inning Runs" thing the offense has taken to lately.

I also love being able to watch this game on TV and not on a low-quality free online stream.

Yunel Escobar, Colombian opposition leader. He's a leftist, but as unaligned with the Chavez bloc as he is unaligned with the CIA. He better watch his back.

Speaking of the different channels I've had to take to watch games down here, I've noticed that the Pirates and Braves booths have a heavy tendency to refer to their team's players on a first-name basis. For whatever reason, it bothers me, but the more I think about the more I realize that I have no idea if the SNY crew does it too. Am I just used to them? Someone help me out here.

Francoeur goes down looking. That guy needs to swing the bat more.

Atlanta's booth, discussing how the Mets may win the division this season with a lesser squad than they lost with last season:

"They're missing Jose Castillo, missing Moises Alou, and have a different Pedro Martinez."

If he gets taken out of the picture, his lieutenant Omar Infante may be in the mix to take over.

Larry Jones was a no-nonsense career military officer who now is in charge of secret service protection for a got-no-shot presidential candidate during the primary season.

Casey Kotchman?

The self-employed guy in town who claims to be able to fix anything from your car, to your VCR, to your clogged sink.

Getting a death-of-a-thousand-cuts vibe from this inning. Nothing really hit hard.

Casey Kotchman is the creator of a high priced mustard. Looking to expand his line to include a full line of deli condiments.

Peachtree TV's trivia question: Who holds the all-time record for most consecutive seasons leading the major leagues in home runs?

Booth couldn't get it, but I don't see it going unanswered for very long around here.

Exciting double play there with Wright getting on that and gunning to Reyes
who guns to first. Reyes' arm strength is bizarre sometimes with the zip he
gets on some throws from abnormal throwing body positions.

Well, the name that immediately comes to my mind is Babe Ruth. In the late 1920's and 1930's he completely revolutionized the game and changed it forever. Seems too obvious for him to be the answer and no one to come up with it, but I'll go with him anyway.

The correct answer is likely some guy hitting 8-12 a year in the old days before Ruth.

My only hint is that there was a more of a reason for me to think this board would get the answer, aside from general knowledge of the game's history.

The booth talking about the old days and Keith saying that Rusty wouldn't go over the 59th Street Bridge to go back to the City because he was afraid of heights.
