Five-two, Fish, as Phillies bat in the bottom of the eighth. I'm sort of pulling for the Phillies here so we can catch Florida tonight. Catch the Marlins, and then they become our partners.

I guess I'm hoping that Fla takes at least 2 this week. All that really matters is for us to keep winning and the rest of that stuff tends to take care of itself.

Meanwhile in Texas, the stRangers are trying hard to blow a big lead. They led the Yanx 8-6 heading for the 9th after serving up an 9th inning GS to Richie Sexson.

So the TB-Rays are finishing up their set with the seriously, I just used a racist word when I really meant "Guardians" in an afternoon game today.
Down 6-4 heading into the 9th, Percival gives up one more to make it 7-4.

So in bottom 9 Tampa responds with:
- Double - Double - Homer (Gross) - Single - Walk - Homer (Pena) ...
6 runs before even making an out and the home team gets to do the jump-dance at home plate


If nothing else, just the fact that the Yanx team, their announcers, and their fans have to lower themselves to paying attention to TB games makes this worth it even if the Rays ultimately fall short.


btw, TB has already won more games this year than all of last and are only 2 wins off their best record ever!

Rays have an amazing home record - 44 - 17 , I hope they win the division as they could be a tough team in the playoffs.


It can't be good news that Joba is going to Dr. Andrews right from the get go , or did he see Dr. Altchek and was then sent there?
