Going to Cincy this weekend

Hey, I'm going to see the Mets on Saturday to see them play the Reds.

I know it's far, but just checking to see if any of the other far-flung fans are going to be there.

My third chance this season to break the streak of shame. Should be a great day.

It's also Reds Hall of Fame Day, which is kind of neat. Barry Larkin and Cesar Geronimo (sp?) are being inducted. Reds Hall of Fame has MANY members...

Tell us what you think of Great American Ball Park , I remember being on a Reds board this season and quite a few didn't like it at all.

I was there in 2003. On the way to Cincy we saw a game at PNC in Pittsburgh, which is a much better ballpark. But the Great American Ballpark wasn't bad. Here's something I wrote about it in the wake of the trip -

]Having just visited PNC Park, we arrived at The Great American Ball Park with more of a critical eye than we otherwise might have had. The sightlines weren't as good as PNC, the causeways didn't allow for a view of the game while you're buying food, and who designs a stadium where the main gift shop is on the fourth level? On the brighter side, $2.50 will buy you a "Coney" hot dog with chili and cheese, or a pretty good crustless grilled cheese sandwich, plus the centerfield plaza's mist machine between the replica of a riverboat's smokestacks brings welcome relief on hot summer days.
