metirish Old-Timey Member Posted June 24, 2008 Posted June 24, 2008 Has Dickey and Wakefield ever pitched in the same game as knuckeballers?
metirish Old-Timey Member Posted June 24, 2008 Posted June 24, 2008 Anyway so Castillo totally botched a routine ground ball and tried to recover with a good throw to the plate but Bloomquist made a good slide and scored the second run on the play.
G-Fafif Old-Timey Member Posted June 24, 2008 Posted June 24, 2008 Ollie's saving his best for the MFYs Sunday.
metirish Old-Timey Member Posted June 24, 2008 Posted June 24, 2008 Mets fans boo Perez coming to the plate then cheer when they think he gets hit with a pitch.....ugh.
Guest metsguyinmichigan Guests Posted June 24, 2008 Posted June 24, 2008 How com we consistently get out butts kicked by the worst teams in the league???
Guest AG/DC Guests Posted June 24, 2008 Posted June 24, 2008 Pressing, I'd say. It's not like the odd walk would kill us. On the other hand, the drop off after the top four batters makes those guys want to try to hit three-run homers with nobody on base.
Benjamin Grimm Old-Timey Member Posted June 24, 2008 Author Posted June 24, 2008 This game is going rather poorly, isn't it?
Frayed Knot Old-Timey Member Posted June 24, 2008 Posted June 24, 2008 I like the way they were inspired by the ejections.
Guest AG/DC Guests Posted June 24, 2008 Posted June 24, 2008 Will Wright get in just to extend some streak?I'm hoping no.I am hoping some productive professional pride is put on display before the curtain.
bmfc1 Old-Timey Member Posted June 24, 2008 Posted June 24, 2008 I just got back after watching my son's summer team lose to fall to 0-6-2... what happened to Beltran?
Guest AG/DC Guests Posted June 24, 2008 Posted June 24, 2008 Two on in the seventh and Endy hacks at the first pitch and pops out. You're fined.
Frayed Knot Old-Timey Member Posted June 24, 2008 Posted June 24, 2008 bmfc1 wrote:... what happened to Beltran?Arguing a ball/strike call.First Manual, then Carlos - same call.Mainly they were pissed that the ump seemed to be baiting Beltran who only mildly protested the call to start with.
Guest AG/DC Guests Posted June 24, 2008 Posted June 24, 2008 A base hit by Miguel Cairo.I'd call that the final insult, but I know there are others.
Frayed Knot Old-Timey Member Posted June 24, 2008 Posted June 24, 2008 The only thing salvaging this night even a little bit is that the Yanx are getting pasted by the Pirates 12-3
Guest AG/DC Guests Posted June 24, 2008 Posted June 24, 2008 Yeah, we need to know our friends as well as our enemies. The Pirates have been friendly tonight and Nady had been their best run producer through the first part of the year and he's on the DL.I really want to root root root for a team that doesn't lose 11-zed to the worst team n beisbol.
Benjamin Grimm Old-Timey Member Posted June 24, 2008 Author Posted June 24, 2008 Braves lost.Let's hope the Phillies do too.
