Frayed Knot Old-Timey Member Posted June 13, 2008 Posted June 13, 2008 He throws 19 wild pitches in a half inning and winds up curled in the corner weeping uncontrollably to the point where he's useless for any position for the next month.Or not.
Guest AG/DC Guests Posted June 13, 2008 Posted June 13, 2008 You're a sports fan. How can you not root for a man to confront a dragon so huge?
Frayed Knot Old-Timey Member Posted June 13, 2008 Posted June 13, 2008 Oh it's not that [u:d047a76f3e]I[/u:d047a76f3e] don't want to see it.I just don't think it's going to happen.
Guest John Cougar Lunchbucket Guests Posted June 13, 2008 Posted June 13, 2008 MFYs win 2-1 as the Astholes run themselves out of at least 2 innings.
Guest AG/DC Guests Posted June 13, 2008 Posted June 13, 2008 Your final is 20-2. The Cards used six pitchers (wow, Russ Springer is still going), none of them named Ankiel.
Frayed Knot Old-Timey Member Posted June 14, 2008 Posted June 14, 2008 Infielder Aaron Miles pitched the 9th - setting down Rollins, Victorino & Bruntlett 1-2-3 on two pop-ups and a comebacker.AL teams won the night 9-5 and hold the edge for the year while trying to "win" IL play for the 5th straight season.
Guest KC Guests Posted June 14, 2008 Posted June 14, 2008 The magic elimination number (Mets losses and leading team's wins) for thewild card is 89 in case anyone was wondering.
