Guest AG/DC Guests Posted May 30, 2008 Posted May 30, 2008 None of us, mice elf included, have been very generous to Muniz last night or this morning. His strikeout of Kemp was his only out, but it was easily the biggest out of the game. Firing up the old Win Expectancy Finder, using 2004-2006 numbers, the Mets had a 74.4% chance of winning when he took the mound, and an 87.6% chance when Kemp flailed at the high hard one, looking like he was expecting another slider. (Good call by the Schneid.)Maybe m.e.t.b.o.t. gives him more beer than we all have.
Guest John Cougar Lunchbucket Guests Posted May 30, 2008 Posted May 30, 2008 I think m.e.t.b.o.t. must be in the labs for repair. Or maybe he's too artificially intelligent to watch the Mets anymore.
soupcan Old-Timey Member Posted May 30, 2008 Posted May 30, 2008 I dunno 'bout that.I'll grant you it was a huge out but the guy faced just one batter. I think giving him .25 for throwing 4 pitches is pretty good.Besides, if you go over to DodgerBlues, they'll tell you that Kemp making that out was a foregone connclusion.
