Guest John Cougar Lunchbucket Guests Posted March 11, 2008 Posted March 11, 2008 You know there's unfinished biz from yesterday's thrilling 1-1 tie when the Mets have loaded up for the home-and-home rematch with Boston. That's right, Valentin, Seanz, and Easley are all ion the starting lineup, not to mention Argenis Reyes, Anderson Hernandez and Raul Casanova. Church, Endy and Angel Pagan in the OF.Nelson Figueroa toes the slab vs. Wakefield.
Guest John Cougar Lunchbucket Guests Posted March 11, 2008 Posted March 11, 2008 "Heaven Must Be Missing An" Angel Pagan triples in 2 runs in the 3rd and it's 2-1 Mets.

Guest John Cougar Lunchbucket Guests Posted March 11, 2008 Posted March 11, 2008 "Cash" Register throws a 1-2-3, all-groundball 4th. Figueroa's chances don't look good after 3 IP, 4 ER.Mets trail 4-2, top 5
Guest sharpie Guests Posted March 11, 2008 Posted March 11, 2008 Figueroa's chances never looked good.
Guest John Cougar Lunchbucket Guests Posted March 11, 2008 Posted March 11, 2008 Well, we lose 4-3.Your positive takeaways are the performances of Register (2 IP) & Lugo as they pursue bullpen opportunities. I think it means something that Register got the plum 3rd & 4th inning assignment, which meant he still faced the other guy's starters.
Valadius Old-Timey Member Posted March 11, 2008 Posted March 11, 2008 We've needed a groundball pitcher.
