metirish Old-Timey Member Posted December 14, 2007 Posted December 14, 2007 Haven't heard the show in a long time, that's a fun interview and Dell'Abate is good for a laugh.]I was hoping for obviously, I hoped to turn on the radio one morning and find out that they got (Johan) Santana and didnt give away half the team.
soupcan Old-Timey Member Posted December 14, 2007 Posted December 14, 2007 I have Sirius in my car and listen to Howard whenever I can (no kids in the car, etc.). The show is great. As good as ever if not better. During the week I'm only in my car an average of 15 minutes in the morning but that day's show is played on a loop so you can listen whenever you happen to turn that channel on.I think I've posted before that since they don't have to censor themselves, the dialogue has much more natural flow.Sal the Stocbroker and Richard Christie are now fulltime staff and regulars on the show. Both provide a wealth of idiocy for Howard and Artie and Robin to riff on.On Fridays instead of a live show they play 'Mastertape Theater' which is simply a show from years gone by. Today it was July 23, 1996. They had listeners call in to play name that tune with Crackhead Bob singing the songs and the callers having to guess what he was singing. On the weekends they play shows from the previous week. After the shows are over they have 'The Wrap-Up' show where Ma-ma-monkey and some others discuss the show. There are two channels dedicated to Howard programming on Sirius. A suffcient fix for the Stern junkie.I do not subscribe to Howard TV and have no plans to, but I do think about it.
