metirish Old-Timey Member Posted December 4, 2007 Posted December 4, 2007 WOW, who among us hasn't done that when hammered, I assume he was hammered or at least I hope he was.
Guest OlerudOwned Guests Posted December 4, 2007 Posted December 4, 2007 I guess I'm way late to this party. Would've gone with "I'm John Maine. I'm a hot piece of ass!" as the thread title myself.http://deadspin.com/sports/john-maine-crossdresser/john-maine-loves-the-little-black-dress-329656.php
Frayed Knot Old-Timey Member Posted December 5, 2007 Posted December 5, 2007 The NYDN's gossip page follows up today with:The Mets say pitcher John Maine is the victim of an impostor who has been asking women for their outfits. Thursday, a woman named Abby Cohen called the club Touch to get "John Maine" a table at their opening night. When the man arrived, he identified himself as the Mets pitcher and asked several young ladies if he could try on their dresses (even offering a reporter $200 for hers). Despite being "recognized" as Maine by doormen and publicists for Touch, the Mets insist that he has not been in New York since October and was in Virginia on the night of incident.I prefer thinking that there is at least a small element of truth in the original story.
Guest Edgy DC Guests Posted December 5, 2007 Posted December 5, 2007 He was in Virginia on the night of incident, an alibi corroborated by several friends who say he was wearing a beige Betsey Johnson tiered lace tea dress of his own and doesn't need to borrow clothes from some skanky old barfly gossipy bitch.
