Frayed Knot Old-Timey Member Posted September 26, 2007 Posted September 26, 2007 Since late August:* In games against the often porous Philly pitching staff, the Mets scored:2, 2, 2, 10, 2, 3 & 6 runs -- and in the games they scored 10 & 6 they gave up 11 & 10And in those same games they held the hard-hitting Phils to 3 runs or less 3 times including twice in extra innings - and lost all three. * Then against the worst hitting in the NL Nationals, the pitching gave up:12, 9, 4, 13, 10 & 9 runs -- blowing 4-run or more leads 4 times.
