Frayed Knot Old-Timey Member Posted September 21, 2007 Posted September 21, 2007 Delgado comes back tonight so it's only natural that Beltran goes down (who knows for how long?) since the last time Beltran was down was just after Alou came back.I count 45 times thru 153 games that Delgado, Alou & Beltran were in the starting lineup together -- and that includes 28 of the first 35.
metirish Old-Timey Member Posted September 21, 2007 Posted September 21, 2007 WOW I didn't think it was that bad.
Frayed Knot Old-Timey Member Posted September 21, 2007 Author Posted September 21, 2007 Word comes via radio that Beltran has a bruised patella tendon and is listed as -- say it with me folks .... as "Day to Day"
Guest Edgy DC Guests Posted September 21, 2007 Posted September 21, 2007 That's a basketball injury. A jumping injury.I wanted Pedro back. I didn't want to need him to be back. But now we do.I wanted Delgado back. I didn't want to need him to be back. But now we do.
soupcan Old-Timey Member Posted September 21, 2007 Posted September 21, 2007 Bruised knee, gimme a break, that ain't bad.The man is young and in shape, by all rights he shouldn't be out more than one day if that.
Elster88 Old-Timey Member Posted September 21, 2007 Posted September 21, 2007 There are bruises and then there are bruises.
metirish Old-Timey Member Posted September 21, 2007 Posted September 21, 2007 Probably not fair but I have felt in the past that Beltran doesn't play hurt.
Elster88 Old-Timey Member Posted September 21, 2007 Posted September 21, 2007 WFAN morons give him shit all the time. PLEASE don't forget he came back in about a week after breaking his face on Mike Cameron's head.
metirish Old-Timey Member Posted September 21, 2007 Posted September 21, 2007 Hadn't forgotten that at all.
Valadius Old-Timey Member Posted September 21, 2007 Posted September 21, 2007 Just about to mention that, Elster, good call. He broke his fucking face. That's gotta hurt a hell of a lot more than a damn knee bruise.

Guest Edgy DC Guests Posted September 21, 2007 Posted September 21, 2007 Sometimes you wish any FAN morons claiming Player X is soft could be given the same injuries X has.
