Valadius Old-Timey Member Posted September 24, 2007 Posted September 24, 2007 I wish I were a columnist for one day just so I can have a field day with Milton Bradley. For example:Because Milton Bradley decided to get Ants in the Pants, he got himself in a lot of Trouble. He now has to go get an Operation. His Battleship is sunk. He likely cost himself some Easy Money. So goes the Game of Life.
soupcan Old-Timey Member Posted September 24, 2007 Posted September 24, 2007 That looks like fun, let me try...Now his manager must come up with a different Stratego for the stretch run. Bradley's surgeon must Connect Four ligaments. I bet Bradley is really Sorry.
Benjamin Grimm Old-Timey Member Posted September 24, 2007 Posted September 24, 2007 Here are the results of the tie-breaker coin tosses from a few weeks ago. Some of the matchups clearly won't be happening, and some potential matchups (including those for ties between more than two teams) were not accounted for.The only coin toss the Mets were involved in was the one for the division tie. If they ended up tied with the Padres for the wild card there would have to be a new coin toss.Look at Rockies/Padres: They'd be in Denver if the Wild Card was at stake, and in San Diego if it was the division title.AL WILD CARDMariners @ YankeesTigers @ YankeesMariners @ TigersNL EASTMets @ PhilliesNL CENTRALBrewers @ CubsCubs @ CardinalsCardinals @ BrewersNL WESTPadres @ D-backsDodgers @ D-backsRockies @ D-backsPadres @ DodgersRockies @ PadresDodgers @ RockiesNL WILD CARDDodgers @ PadresPhillies @ PadresPadres @ RockiesCubs @ PadresPadres @ BrewersPhillies @ DodgersDodgers @ RockiesCubs @ DodgersDodgers @ BrewersPhillies @ RockiesCubs @ PhilliesPhillies @ BrewersRockies @ CubsBrewers @ RockiesBrewers @ Cubs
Frayed Knot Old-Timey Member Posted September 24, 2007 Posted September 24, 2007 The Mets weren't considered for any of the WC considerations???It's certainly still possible.
