Sosa has a worse average game score for the season than Pelfrey? Wow!! I would have never guessed that. Sosa was really bad his last few starts, but he had some really solid starts earlier in the year. Pelfrey has been mediocre at best and pretty bad most other times.

Oh, now I how Pelfrey escaped the dubious distinction for worst average. Pelfrey has appeared in 10 games this season, but has only made 9 starts so he doesn't quite qualify for the distinction of worst game score average per start.

Perez' great start vs. the Yanks at home. Friday, 5/17 I think. That's gotta be a top-10 game.

Also he had a Saturday afternoon start against the Braves in April that was up there.

What about Glavine, El Duque, Maine and Perez' first four starts of the year? Weren't all four of those games pitched really well?

I suspect the two missing from the top 10 worst could be the singular starts made by Chan Ho Park and Dave Williams.

PS the El Duque game in the top 10 list is correctly the 7/17 game, but it was at SD. The 6/17 game at NYY was terrible. Not bottom-10 terrible, but it sucked. Especially if one was there.
