OSU pitcher Eddie Kunz, who was drafted in the supplemental portion of the first round (42nd pick) of the major league draft by the New York Mets, said Wednesday that he's about to sign. "I'm waiting for a call from my adviser right now saying that we got something ironed out," Kunz said. "Then I'll know exactly when I'll sign and when I leave. I'll have to report for a physical after that, then I'll be set." Once all that is done, Kunz is expected to join the Brooklyn Cyclones, the Mets' short-season Class A team in the New York-Penn League. -- Norm Maves Jr.
