bmfc1 Old-Timey Member Posted July 15, 2007 Posted July 15, 2007 Is Newhan the Sunday starter? Green finally had a good game and he rides the pine today.

DocTee Old-Timey Member Posted July 15, 2007 Posted July 15, 2007 Whither Ben Johnson? Is Newhan's versatility that much of an asset? Does Lastings' promotion spell the end of BJ's time in NYC? I'd rather see Johnson here that Newhan.
Guest Edgy DC Guests Posted July 15, 2007 Posted July 15, 2007 Johnson will be back. Meantime, yes, versatility is useful (buys them an extra pitcher, as is a lefthanded bat.Newhan has outhit Johnson both with the Mets and the Zephyrs.
Guest OlerudOwned Guests Posted July 15, 2007 Posted July 15, 2007 Bad route, nice catch. Whatever works for Milledge.
Guest OlerudOwned Guests Posted July 15, 2007 Posted July 15, 2007 The FSN Ohio folks just spend about 2 minutes during Conine's at bat ripping on Ollie's "terrible" pick-off move.I cordially invite you to suck it.
Guest OlerudOwned Guests Posted July 15, 2007 Posted July 15, 2007 This is the first game I've caught of the series. Did Beltran change his stance? He looks a little more upright than I remember.Maybe I'm just nuts.
Guest Edgy DC Guests Posted July 15, 2007 Posted July 15, 2007 We will rake with Milledge in the village of our choice.
bmfc1 Old-Timey Member Posted July 15, 2007 Author Posted July 15, 2007 I checked on Marlon Anderson's status w/the Zephyrs: he's 1 for 12 so far:http://web.minorleaguebaseball.com/milb/stats/stats.jsp?sid=t588&t=g_box&gid=2007_07_14_albaaa_nozaaa_1
bmfc1 Old-Timey Member Posted July 15, 2007 Author Posted July 15, 2007 Kevin James is a real Mets fan. In one commercial for Chuck & Larry, his character is wearing Mets stuff in three different shots.
Guest OlerudOwned Guests Posted July 15, 2007 Posted July 15, 2007 Have I ever mentioned that Adam Dunn is my favorite non-Met.Holy crap what a shot.
Guest Edgy DC Guests Posted July 15, 2007 Posted July 15, 2007 Dunn homers, but it serves to underscore how huge that DP was.The Mets are playing sharply.
Guest OlerudOwned Guests Posted July 15, 2007 Posted July 15, 2007 Reyes' getting into a power groove?
Guest metsguyinmichigan Guests Posted July 15, 2007 Posted July 15, 2007 Perez is hitting a robust .267. Sure isn't hurting himself up there.Anybody surprised Dave Williams was dumped?and, KABOOM for Jose, who bleeping Tom Verducci didn't even list in his top 10 for NL MVP.
Guest Edgy DC Guests Posted July 15, 2007 Posted July 15, 2007 I got a bigger target than Tom Verducci's MVP ballot.
Guest Rockin' Doc Guests Posted July 15, 2007 Posted July 15, 2007 Doing some work in the yard this afternoon. I check in on the game when I need a short break. So far, so good.It was 3-0 Mets when I last checked in. Now it's 5-1 Mets as Dunn and Reyes trade Kabooms. Hopefully, the team wil be putting the finishing touches on a win when I check in next time.

bmfc1 Old-Timey Member Posted July 15, 2007 Author Posted July 15, 2007 I don't think that Verducci's pro-Yankees, anti-Mets prejudice is even close to that of Buster Olney.
bmfc1 Old-Timey Member Posted July 15, 2007 Author Posted July 15, 2007 Newhan's been the victim of three good plays today--he's hit the ball hard.
Guest metsguyinmichigan Guests Posted July 15, 2007 Posted July 15, 2007 I'm not too keen on Valentin any more, either.
Guest Rockin' Doc Guests Posted July 15, 2007 Posted July 15, 2007 I like coming in to see the Mets have won. Winning three of four is a Nice start to the second half. The team just needs to get the offense going and get on a little roll.
Guest Johnny Dickshot Guests Posted July 15, 2007 Posted July 15, 2007 It was about 400 degrees in the sun, so young I.J. Shot came up just short of an official game in his big-league debut.
Guest Edgy DC Guests Posted July 15, 2007 Posted July 15, 2007 Seat one. And I.J. is 1-0.Is the person next to you wearing jeans on his or her head?
