Guest Edgy DC Guests Posted March 20, 2007 Posted March 20, 2007 Mets do some getting on track and wallop Baltimore, 6-1.Mike Pelfrey securing his spot, going 5 innings and giving up one run. Seven hits and only one strikeout. A real Trachsel special. After he was lifted, four relievers --- Adkins, Felciano, Smith, Schoeneweis --- combined to allow no basrunners the rest of the way. Freaking Feliciano fanned the side.Lo Duke batted sixth --- Wright was second, yo --- and had two doubles. Valentin tripped and Beltran homered.
dinosaur jesus Old-Timey Member Posted March 20, 2007 Posted March 20, 2007 Valentin tripped? Is he okay?
Frayed Knot Old-Timey Member Posted March 20, 2007 Posted March 20, 2007 Reyes tripped too, but we're pretty much used to that. All the hits off Pelfrey were singles (I think) which is likely to happen with his sinker working. That'll also allow him to get away with the (*small sample size warning*) low K rates that he's been having so long as it also keeps the BB & HR rates down.
