The Sons of Sam Horn are running an event to raise money to upgrade their hardware. But they have run events to raise money for charity in the past - $100,000 over the past three years.

I "got in line" for an account when ezboard forced them to relocate, but once I got my identity set up (god knows why, I wouldn't post there anyway) and tried to set up a profile, I found that I would have to wait until a "spot" opened.

I checked every week or so for months but never got anywhere so I gave up and haven't even visited there for probably a year.


The ones who paid got instant results.

I relayed about whether you have to join the SOSH or pay anything to participate and this is the response I got:

But, if you decide to enter their poker tourney, as Iubitul said, come back here soon. Don't dawdle over there with those "English". If you live near Pennsylvania Dutch country, you know what I mean.

Don't worry, I'm no poker playin' mama, and if I were, I wouldn't do it to raise money for some exclusive board.

Narrowly escaped praising them wrongly.

I went over and logged in, found I could now access my account, was all set to do a test post, and voila! I wasn't authorized to post in that thread. It was a general thread about nothing, btw, nothing mind blowing.

Guess things haven't changed, I'll pass on their fundraiser, thanks.
