Farmer Ted Old-Timey Member Posted October 24, 2006 Posted October 24, 2006 From the NYDN. I knew about Woodward, Dook, and Cliff. Had no clue about the seriousness of Delgado or that Heilman and Hernandez were knife-worthy. Tell those guys to stop playing tennis.Carlos Delgado, who had been nursing elbow discomfort since spring training, had the first of two surgical procedures yesterday. The Mets said Delgado had surgery for carpal tunnel of the right wrist, and will have surgery Monday for what the team labeled right tennis elbow. Paul Lo Duca (ligament tear, left thumb) and Aaron Heilman (tennis elbow) also underwent surgery yesterday. Among pending free agents, Chris Woodward (labrum tear, left shoulder) had surgery yesterday, while Cliff Floyd will have an operation tomorrow on his left Achilles tendon and Roberto Hernandez will undergo right knee surgery in Florida the same day.
