Guest Rockin' Doc Guests Posted September 29, 2006 Posted September 29, 2006 On a day when the Mets announced that Pedro is officially out for the season, the Mets needed a little good news. They received it with the return of their offense and a win to end their 4 game losing streak. In his start before the post-season, Orlando Hernandez pitched 5 dominant innings against the Braves. Backed with solid offensive production from the recently anemic offense, Hernandez had the Braves hitters swinging and missing more times than not. The top of the line up turned in stellar games as they pummeled hapless Braves starter Kyle Davies. It was truly a sight for sore eyes and one that I hope to see much more of in the near future.I had been holding back on a few of my favorite beers to use in October, but I seriously doubt there will be polls during the playoffs. So, we'll celebrate last nights victory with a round of Bass Ale.
