Guest Rockin' Doc Guests Posted September 24, 2006 Posted September 24, 2006 Apparently, the offensive eruption of lastnight's game was merely a mirage, as the today the "noffense" returned. I had hoped that lastnight's barrage would spark a revitalization of the offense. Unfortunately, that does not appear to have been the case. The Mets managed only one run on 5 hits over 9 innings. The bullpen was, for the most part, stellar. Unfortunately, the offense could not mount a comeback while the pen was holding down the opposition. At least the mystery of Humber's whereabouts was solved today as he made his major league debut with a scoreless inning of relief in the ninth. From the deep south, we have shipped a pony keg of Amberjaque Rye Ale from the Lazy Magnolia Brewing Company of Kiln, Mississippi. Maybe the team should sample it around the batting cage while taking some extra batting practice.
