Guest Edgy DC Guests Posted September 21, 2006 Posted September 21, 2006 Has anyone seen him recently?
metirish Old-Timey Member Posted September 21, 2006 Posted September 21, 2006 Now that you mention it I have not seen him or heard anyone talking about him in the booth.
Guest ScarletKnight41 Guests Posted September 21, 2006 Posted September 21, 2006 Wasn't he getting some work in last night in the bullpen? He was wearing #49, IIRC.
Valadius Old-Timey Member Posted September 21, 2006 Posted September 21, 2006 Could we, um, see him in a game already?
Guest Edgy DC Guests Posted September 21, 2006 Posted September 21, 2006 It's not unheard of to call up a top prospect just to let him absorb the big league atmosphere.Darryl Strawberry was with the team in September 1982 without getting into any games. He may not have been even on the roster. But he was in the dugout wearing 18.
metirish Old-Timey Member Posted September 21, 2006 Posted September 21, 2006 Willie said when he got called up that he didn't expect him to get a start...the call up was a kinda reward for all the hard work coming back form injury.
Valadius Old-Timey Member Posted September 21, 2006 Posted September 21, 2006 I'd get him in a game even for one out, so he could say that he actually DID something.
Guest Edgy DC Guests Posted September 21, 2006 Posted September 21, 2006 They may not want to start his options clock.
Gwreck Old-Timey Member Posted September 21, 2006 Posted September 21, 2006 Isn't that clock already ticking with his ML Contract and that he was on the 40-man ever since he signed?
