Orlando Hernandez gave the Mets 7 strong innings of work, which allowed the bullpen a reasonably easy day. Meanwhile, the Mets hitters were patiently waiting fo their pitch. The Mets sandwiched 8 walks amidst their 10 hits. The effort helped the Mets earn their first three game series sweep at home this season.

So this afternoon an old friend helped serve the beer. Today we celebrate with Firestone Double Barrel Ale. A special beer for a special occasion.
