Tonight was a homecoming of sorts for the two Mikes. Mike Cameron received a warm reception from the Met faithful at Shea, but it was truly Mike Piazza's night The Shea Stadium faithful expressed their appreciation for all the thrills and highlights that Piazza provided during his tenure in the blue and orange.

Steve Trachsel gave the Mets 5+ innings of steady, though not spectacular work. He then deferred to a series of relievers that all did their job to help preserve the victory for the Mets. Beltran and Wright provided most of the offensive firepower.

I spent last night taking in a Mudcats game with the family at Five County Stadium. While there, I enjoyed a few 16 oz. drafts of Rdhook ESB, the official beer of the Carolina Mudcats. So grab a cup and meet me at the keg of Redhook ESB as we celebrate another Mets win.
