Guest Rockin' Doc Guests Posted July 22, 2006 Posted July 22, 2006 The Mets traded homers with the Astros and one upped them by a sacrifice fly. Orlando Hernandez has been either good or horrible in most of his starts. Luckily, today he was pretty good after a rough start in the first inning. With the Mets trailing 3-1 after the first inning, Xavier Nady's 3 run home run in the 4th inning gave the Mets the lead that they would never relinquish.Tonight we celebrate with a favorite of mine, Shiner Bock. I was first introduced to Shiner Bock during a golf tournament in San Antonio. It was a hot day in June and the drink carts were thankfully ever present. Stocked full of an ssortment of free beers, one of my playing partner suggested I try Shiner Bock. I tried it and liked it. I downed several durng the course of the day and have come to believe it has magical powers. Fueled by Shiner Bock, I recorded my single best round of golf, a 2-under par round of 70. This stuff must be a magical elixir. Hopefully, it will have the same effect on the Mets. So drink up Mets, then go out and kick some ass tomorrow.
Guest ScarletKnight41 Guests Posted July 23, 2006 Posted July 23, 2006 I can't give the suds to Hernandez - that 3-0 hole after one inning was a horrible way to start the day.I cast my vote for X-Man, who got those runs back with one swing of the bat.
