Guest Rockin' Doc Guests Posted July 20, 2006 Posted July 20, 2006 This one started out so promising. The Mets jumped on Reds starter Aaron Harang for 4 quick runs. Then the rain came and the teams were forced to wait it out. When the teams returned, the Mets sent a alikely stiff and definitely wild Steve Trachsel back to the mound to face the Reds. It didn't take long for the Reds to erase the Mets cushion against Trachsel. The Reds, on the other hand, came back from the rain delay with a fresh arm from their bullpen. A succession of relievers heald the Mets to 2 hits over the final seven innings of play. Apparently the mets aren't mudders.Well, grab a cold bottle of Abita Purple Haze Raspberry Brew and put on some Jimi. We'll try again tomorrow.
