El Duque had nothing working for him today, but Darren Oliver was able to stop the bleeding for 2.1 innings so the Mets could wait for the offense to ignite. In the sixth inning, the Mets practically exploded, with a team record 11 run inning that included two grand slams. The first one by Cliff Floyd gave the Mets the lead at 6 -5. The second one, by Carlos Beltran made the score 11-5 and pretty much broke the Cubs back. David Wright later hit a 2-run home run to cap the scoring and put the icing on the Mets 11 run inning.

In honor of Cliffie's big night in his old haunts, we celebrate with 2 cases Three Floyds Pride and Joy Mild Ale. Hey, tomorrow's an off day and it's not everyday that the Mets earn a come from behind victory by scoring 11 runs in an inning.
