MFS62 Old-Timey Member Posted April 3, 2006 Posted April 3, 2006 Because this is Mets baseball related, I put it here instead of the self-promotion page.I just got a call from a writer at the local paper (Danbury News-Times).He knows I'm a Mets fan, and wanted to hear the frustration of a Mets fan whose cable outlet doesn't carry the games.I hope my comments make the paper. I'll let you know/ provide a link if they do.PS- he promised to clean up my language, but said he understood.Later

MFS62 Old-Timey Member Posted April 6, 2006 Author Posted April 6, 2006 The article appeared in yesterday's paper, but the writer didn't mention my name.Still no resolution, and the fans are pissed.Later
Guest Edgy DC Guests Posted April 6, 2006 Posted April 6, 2006 Actually I meant to submit that as a talking point for MFS62, but I worked faster than I thought.
metirish Old-Timey Member Posted April 6, 2006 Posted April 6, 2006 Yeah but were you thinking about me Edgy or what?
Guest Edgy DC Guests Posted April 6, 2006 Posted April 6, 2006 Apparently I was. Can't imagine why. Nothing negative, I assure you. Just responded MFS thinking he was youse. Similar number of posts? I don't know.
MFS62 Old-Timey Member Posted April 6, 2006 Author Posted April 6, 2006 OK, I'll talk.I contacted Charter Communications as recently as this Tuesday. The customer service rep said their parent company is "still in negotiations" with SNY. I thought I saw light atthe end of the tunnel when I received a letter saying that the golf channle was being moved to the premium sports tier ( I hpoed to make room for SNY). But on Tuesday, the CS rep said it was staying where it was.But when I got home last night, I noticed that they had moved FX (Which had been on a station contiguous with the other sports stations, such as MSG and FoxSports) to a higher number, replacing the History Channel (I'm pissed about that, too) and the spot where FX had been is now dark. So, maybe that's where SNYwill be.In the meantime, I'm Metsless.Later
Guest cooby Guests Posted April 6, 2006 Posted April 6, 2006 And History Channelless...Good luck, MFS, I hope it works out for you
