Frayed Knot Old-Timey Member Posted February 14, 2006 Posted February 14, 2006 Neil Best's column in Newsday (last Friday?) mentioned that industry insiders thought that things would get done by the start of the season. The agreement that eventually got hammered out with YES pretty much established the going rate and that a channel of this type should be part of a package as opposed to on a seperate pay tier should grease the skids for the new SNY. They also don't think Cablevision has the clout to fight this as hard as they may have in the past since they can't afford to lose more customers to satellite. That said, none of the involved parties are saying anything except "we're negotiating".
