Daily News said this morning that Pedro's being targetted for the third game of the season, on Thursday. Victor Zambrano would go on the second game on Wednesday. (Pretty surprising; I'd have thought that Trachsel would be the guy.)

I guess that leaves Trachsel for Friday. Does Glavine get Saturday's start (because of the off-day on Tuesday) or will it be our mysterious, yet-to-be-determined number 5 starter?

Reports have Petey as working in the mid-80's, topping out at 88 mph.

Not bad for late March. Last year, he was in the low-90's, but he hasn't been able to do as much prep work due to his toe.

If he can stay in that range all year, I think we'll be very happy. Even when he was in the low 80's at the end of last year, he was deadly.

Dude just knows how to pitch.
