Guest Kong76 Guests Posted October 11, 2005 Posted October 11, 2005 MIldly Houston ... those 80's Cards teams still stick in my craw.
metirish Old-Timey Member Posted October 11, 2005 Posted October 11, 2005 I have no rooting interest, just hoping for seven great games.
Valadius Old-Timey Member Posted October 11, 2005 Posted October 11, 2005 Heheh... Hoot... Burt Hooton... heheh.Mild Astros.
Benjamin Grimm Old-Timey Member Posted October 11, 2005 Posted October 11, 2005 I voted the middle category. All I know is that I'll be rooting for the American League team in the World Series, whatever the matchup. I like both the Angels and White Sox more than I do the Astros or Cardinals.
Guest ScarletKnight41 Guests Posted October 11, 2005 Posted October 11, 2005 My 12-year-old has been a Cardinals fan for most of his life. Thus, with no other horses in this race, I'm rooting for the Cards.
Guest SwitchHitter Guests Posted October 11, 2005 Posted October 11, 2005 You don't have to ask.But I don't hate the Cards like I hate the Braves.
Theoldmole Old-Timey Member Posted October 11, 2005 Posted October 11, 2005 Cardinals, for the same reason as the White Sox.
Elster88 Old-Timey Member Posted October 12, 2005 Posted October 12, 2005 I don't like Roger Clemens.
Guest sharpie Guests Posted October 12, 2005 Posted October 12, 2005 Mildly Houston. As our expansion buddies they deserve to get to the WS at least once.
Guest rpackrat Guests Posted October 12, 2005 Posted October 12, 2005 Mildly Astros. Houston is my adopted hometown, and I really don't like LaRussa.
Guest silverdsl Guests Posted October 12, 2005 Posted October 12, 2005 I can't root for the Astros because Roger Clemens is one of my all-time least favorite players.
Guest Johnny Dickshot Guests Posted October 13, 2005 Posted October 13, 2005 Slight edge to St. Louis: At this point, we may as well them cash in on having built a great team. Houston still employs Roger Clemens and like all teams that load up on veterans in an attempt to win it all just once, they probably won't. Their lineup is just awful, by the way.
