Guest mlbaseballtalk Guests Posted October 1, 2005 Posted October 1, 2005 Not much going today except personal stats and staving off 80 losses
MFS62 Old-Timey Member Posted October 1, 2005 Posted October 1, 2005 Maybe we'll get to see Roberto Hernandez or Jacobs catch.Later
Guest mlbaseballtalk Guests Posted October 1, 2005 Posted October 1, 2005 Remind me to double check the schedule before starting an IGT
Frayed Knot Old-Timey Member Posted October 1, 2005 Posted October 1, 2005 1 more win also guarantees us no worse than 3rd place.- that we won't finish double-digits out of 1st- that we won't finish last (1 game ahead of both Fla & Wash)Plus the personal stats stuff, plus 83 wins w/a chance of 84 sounds better than maybe losing 80, plus ending on a good note, ... There's lots to play for!!!!
Guest Rotblatt Guests Posted October 1, 2005 Posted October 1, 2005 I might even go so far as to call today's game "meaningful."

Guest ScarletKnight41 Guests Posted October 1, 2005 Posted October 1, 2005 Missed it. Sorry. I deleted the other thread.Mr. Wright hit a beautiful Ka-Boom in the 4th to break a 1-1 tie and make it 3-1 Mets. That score remains after six.
Guest Edgy DC Guests Posted October 1, 2005 Posted October 1, 2005 My picture went dead. Before it did, the announcers said that Clint Hurdle's daughter was sick. I started thinking, "Let the Rockies win."
Guest Edgy DC Guests Posted October 1, 2005 Posted October 1, 2005 Wow, that pitch-out didn't stand a chance.
Guest Edgy DC Guests Posted October 1, 2005 Posted October 1, 2005 Did people just boo a line by Beltran drive to Todd Helton? That he wouldn't have even caught if he hadn't been holding somebody on? Did they just do that?
Guest Edgy DC Guests Posted October 1, 2005 Posted October 1, 2005 Two hitless by Padilla.Who finishes tonight?
Guest Edgy DC Guests Posted October 1, 2005 Posted October 1, 2005 Mike DeJean, who allegedly proved he sucks with the Mets, is 2-3 3.28 ERA in 36+ innings with Colorado.

Valadius Old-Timey Member Posted October 1, 2005 Posted October 1, 2005 Best part is, we can't finish in last place, no matter what.
Guest cooby Guests Posted October 1, 2005 Posted October 1, 2005 Nice job Edgy. They said that Clint Hurdle's daughter (I did not catch her age, not that it matters, it's still upsetting) had about 15 seizures over the course of about 5 days, but it has settled down. I am sure he is anxious to get back to his family.
