Zvon Old-Timey Member Posted September 26, 2005 Posted September 26, 2005 I fell asleep here in the chair. I was out for a half hour, lol, cripes.Ill have to read up tomorrow.Cant hang...nite guys
Guest Rotblatt Guests Posted September 26, 2005 Posted September 26, 2005 Box score is ugly. Is Seo as bad as his line looks?
Guest Edgy DC Guests Posted September 26, 2005 Posted September 26, 2005 Well you may be missing a beanie war. Graves came in on five weeks rest and promptly plunked two batters.
Guest Johnny Dickshot Guests Posted September 26, 2005 Posted September 26, 2005 Not to be unfair to Seo but I think games like this are what worries the Mets about him. If he's not precise and really on top of his game he can really get hammered.Phils didn't get much cheaply, and in fact may have done more damage but for a bad call in the Mets favor when Jacobs (replays showed) came off first to take a throw.
Guest Johnny Dickshot Guests Posted September 26, 2005 Posted September 26, 2005 Well, at least Ishii looked OK, and helped his inherited-runners stats.
Guest Edgy DC Guests Posted September 27, 2005 Posted September 27, 2005 A hanger and a double by Cairo. Mets have the tying run at second, no out, and Beltran up.
Guest Edgy DC Guests Posted September 27, 2005 Posted September 27, 2005 Utley boots a ball like he's auditioning for the Mets secondbase depth chart, and THIS GAME IS TIED!
metirish Old-Timey Member Posted September 27, 2005 Posted September 27, 2005 WOW..Mets tie this thing up,Urbina again has trouble with the Mets, tow errors on that play?
Guest Edgy DC Guests Posted September 27, 2005 Posted September 27, 2005 Floyd just hit the ball so hard that they felt it back at the factory.
Guest Johnny Dickshot Guests Posted September 27, 2005 Posted September 27, 2005 Jeez, did Floyd crush that ball. Straight line off the scoreboard, so hard it was only a single, Beltran to 3rd, Wright up, still no outs. Not for nothing, but the Mets could wind up being the team that kills Florida, Washington and Philly hopes for the playoffs.
metirish Old-Timey Member Posted September 27, 2005 Posted September 27, 2005 Wright out, Big Mike at the plate, Piazza HBP....crazy shit in this game, Ice runs for Piazza....I can't keep up.. the ducks are drunk for Jacobs...holy hell...
Guest Edgy DC Guests Posted September 27, 2005 Posted September 27, 2005 Gerald Williams on to pinch-run for Piazza.Cool matchup. Madsen. v. Jacobs.400-foot sac fly.
metirish Old-Timey Member Posted September 27, 2005 Posted September 27, 2005 Jake again does the biz, sac fly to plate Beltran..3 RBI for jake
Frayed Knot Old-Timey Member Posted September 27, 2005 Posted September 27, 2005 Gary was implying that Abreu mis-played that Floyd hit but there was no way he was getting that. That's Floyd's 3rd single off the wall in something like the last 10 days. 2 were hit that hard, one was bad baserunning by Beltran.Jacobs goes to the wrong part of the park - but gets the go-ahead Sac Fly.
Guest Edgy DC Guests Posted September 27, 2005 Posted September 27, 2005 Heilman get another He's-not-my-closer-so-don't-say-he-is shot?
Guest Edgy DC Guests Posted September 27, 2005 Posted September 27, 2005 I don't like always calling it defensive indifference. It's not the ninth, the run matters, and they were holding Williams at first.
metirish Old-Timey Member Posted September 27, 2005 Posted September 27, 2005 I'd think so Edgy, great AB by Mink here, Ice steals second, 2 & 2 on Mink..fouled off again , Doug again fouls it off, Leiberthal nearly makes a good play into the dugot, again Doug fouls, 10 pitches this turn at bat...ball 3 on a change-up..caught him for a strike 3..great AB
Guest Edgy DC Guests Posted September 27, 2005 Posted September 27, 2005 Roberto Hernandez takes the mound in the eighth. Aaroon Heeiilmaan up in the pen.
metirish Old-Timey Member Posted September 27, 2005 Posted September 27, 2005 Hernandez in to pitch, Gary tells us that the Giants have taken the lead against the Padres 3 to 2, Winn tied it with a homer and Snow followed with a home run, Giants leading in the 9th..WOW...great series there.
Guest Edgy DC Guests Posted September 27, 2005 Posted September 27, 2005 Either an interesting development or a managerial oversite, but Jacobs stays in the game, rather than Mientkiewicz.
metirish Old-Timey Member Posted September 27, 2005 Posted September 27, 2005 Mientkiewicz never gets in now for defence it seems, Bert mowing em down...
Guest Edgy DC Guests Posted September 27, 2005 Posted September 27, 2005 Yabbut he was in the game anyhow.Reyes stabs a drive and we go to the ninth.
Guest Edgy DC Guests Posted September 27, 2005 Posted September 27, 2005 I haven't seen Lofton go get it like this in years.
metirish Old-Timey Member Posted September 27, 2005 Posted September 27, 2005 Bert to close this out, Armando closes the game out for the Giants, only 3 out with 3 still left against the Padres..amazing
metirish Old-Timey Member Posted September 27, 2005 Posted September 27, 2005 Two down, Bert is on fire ...extra base hit for Utley....fucker
Guest Edgy DC Guests Posted September 27, 2005 Posted September 27, 2005 Walkingthego-aheadrun...togettoPatBurrell.The Mets. They're doing this.
metirish Old-Timey Member Posted September 27, 2005 Posted September 27, 2005 Walking Abreu to get to Burrell, he has never had a hit against Hernandez.....And it works..WOW...
Guest Edgy DC Guests Posted September 27, 2005 Posted September 27, 2005 Wow. Check-swing tapper.Mets live another day.
metirish Old-Timey Member Posted September 27, 2005 Posted September 27, 2005 Great freaking game.....still I would rather the Phills win the WC than the Astros....
