Guest Rotblatt Guests Posted September 21, 2005 Posted September 21, 2005 Me too, KC.Good call on Bell, seawolf. I had actually forgotten about him.
Guest ScarletKnight41 Guests Posted September 21, 2005 Posted September 21, 2005 When MK was being interviewed for that Mets documentary yesterday, his only negative comments were about Looper and Takatsu. You can't blame the kid for his choices there....Mikey drives in the tying run. 4-4. They'll drag this out before tearing our livers out in front of us....
Guest Rotblatt Guests Posted September 21, 2005 Posted September 21, 2005 MIKE PIAZZA!Line drive single to tie the game! He's reached all four times today. Gotta love that. And Williams comes in to pinch run for him.Good call. Piazza needs his rest after 12 innings last night.

Maybe not, but i would understand the people who would do that. He's only blown the hope of the fans in every instance and level that he could, and seemingly only at times when we really want him to do his job.
Zvon Old-Timey Member Posted September 21, 2005 Posted September 21, 2005 oh.the Mets tied it.Edge with the rally song doin its thang.Kool.Ill shut up
Guest Edgy DC Guests Posted September 21, 2005 Posted September 21, 2005 I'm sure he doesn't need to know that people are disappointed in him.]He's only blown the hope of the fans in every instance and level that he could, and seemingly only at times when we really want him to do his job. You're eluding me in the alleys and sideways.
Elster88 Old-Timey Member Posted September 21, 2005 Posted September 21, 2005 Great job on the rundown by Cairo.
Guest Edgy DC Guests Posted September 21, 2005 Posted September 21, 2005 Finally all that plays-the-game-the-right-way stuff pays off, huh?
Guest Edgy DC Guests Posted September 21, 2005 Posted September 21, 2005 And Bert walks the backup catcher to load them up for Lowell.Poo.
Guest Rotblatt Guests Posted September 21, 2005 Posted September 21, 2005 Robo sounds tired. This could get ugly.
Guest Rotblatt Guests Posted September 21, 2005 Posted September 21, 2005 Or not! Lowell pops it up near the stands and Jake makes what sounds like a nice catch, reaching over the rail to end the inning. whew!Let's finish it NOW.
Guest Edgy DC Guests Posted September 21, 2005 Posted September 21, 2005 Jacobs catches the third out and Cairo --- playing the game the right way --- catches Jacobs.

He does his job, even if he had me sweatin.I think the fans have every right to pick Looper as a scapegoat, even though he is not the only reason the Mets have failed.Whether he needs to know or not dont concern me.Tonight i wanted more than anything for Seo to get the win. Looper ruined that hope. And why did Hamulack only pitch to one batter in that inning?I still dont know the answer to that one.
Elster88 Old-Timey Member Posted September 21, 2005 Posted September 21, 2005 Does Jose like giving me heart palpitations by diving into every base when the playoffs are out of reach?
Guest Edgy DC Guests Posted September 21, 2005 Posted September 21, 2005 They booed him before he failed, and by undermining him, they facilitate that failure, and share in it.

Zvon Old-Timey Member Posted September 21, 2005 Posted September 21, 2005 Ryes makes it happen.Singles and gets second on an error. On a side note:Reyes has become the 1st shortstop since 1900 to ever record 55 steals, 20 doubles,15 triples, and 90 runs scored in a single season. Not too shabby.
Guest Rotblatt Guests Posted September 21, 2005 Posted September 21, 2005 Ugh. I'd rather have anyone BUT Cairo up right now. Oh, shit!!! It's a base hit by Cairo and we win the game!!!Tonight, Willie, you can do no wrong. I'll consider giving you a pass tomorrow as well. Let go Mets!
Guest Edgy DC Guests Posted September 21, 2005 Posted September 21, 2005 Cairo.Player of the Game. That's why.
Elster88 Old-Timey Member Posted September 21, 2005 Posted September 21, 2005 I get a sick sense of satisfaction out of the Mets knocking the Marlins out of the race. Anyone else going to the game tomorrow?

Valadius Old-Timey Member Posted September 21, 2005 Posted September 21, 2005 Cairo? CAIRO?!?!?!?!?!Welcome to Bizarro World, I guess.

I wouldnt. But as soon as a runner reached, i would.I would want him out of there and no longer in the position to ruin what hopes i still hold for this team.
