I got my guesses in, so I'll back off, but I'm pretty egg-faced to have missed number five.

Seems to be just me and Edgy playing this game but I'll throw in Bobby Bonds.

Are you sure DeJesus is wrong? I had a good feeling about him.

]I've been unable to keep up with the 2005 box scores thanks to some fool at USA Today.

Is there a story behind this?

Nope, not Jose Cruz.

Is there a story? Probably, but I don't know it. (At least, I don't know who the fool is.)

USA Today had been carrying nice, accurate, text-only, box scores from SportsTicker on their web site. These box scores were easy for me to parse (via a magic spreadsheet) into the UMDB database tables. On July 1 they switched to HTML. I haven't taken the time to revise the magic spreadsheet. Parsing HTML is far more complicated. So the box scores, for now, stop at June 30.

If anybody knows of a site that carries the SportsTicker box scores, I'd love to know about it. I looked myself, but couldn't find any. I even asked a contact at Sports Ticker and he didn't know of any other sites that carried them.

The last guy has been killing me. I've started cheating to look for him, but I can't find it.

Nope.

We do know that 31 of his 55 were in the sixties.

I like these games. Do some pitching categories. And make up some rules to slow down guessing a little bit, lol.

Mister Five is still waiting to be identified.

Valadius guessed him a little ways back.

OE: Oops, beat me to it.
