Zvon Old-Timey Member Posted September 16, 2005 Posted September 16, 2005 Ks the other Jones for 10k.And i dont think he's even throwin in the 90s.Pedro is DA MAN
Guest Rotblatt Guests Posted September 16, 2005 Posted September 16, 2005 Why did he walk LaRouche?Petey, why would you do that?
Guest Edgy DC Guests Posted September 16, 2005 Posted September 16, 2005 Walks LaRoche who had whiffed thrice.Francouer flies out to semi-deep left to end it.
Zvon Old-Timey Member Posted September 16, 2005 Posted September 16, 2005 whew. I can take the drama from a guy I have confidence in.And if he loses it,.....I just tip my hat and say nice shot man.But pedro comes thru and completes the game. Now thats what Im talkin about.
Guest Rotblatt Guests Posted September 16, 2005 Posted September 16, 2005 We win? We win!!!Hurray!!!Remember that time I wanted to bench Petey for the rest of the season?I was wrong. Holy shit, what a great ending to come home to.
Guest KC Guests Posted September 16, 2005 Posted September 16, 2005 >>>Andruuuw down swinging!<<<Maybe. I like the way they didn't show the above home plate camera angleon that one. Actually, I didn't like it at all. They love showing that, and sel-ective use of it in what is a meaningless game makes me wonder about who's pulling the production strings of the broadcasts. Nice outing by Petey ... nice feeling (for a day) for us Mets' fans.
Zvon Old-Timey Member Posted September 16, 2005 Posted September 16, 2005 good game!That makes Pety 15-7
Guest Rotblatt Guests Posted September 16, 2005 Posted September 16, 2005 You know what I love about Petey? He never gives up. He's always in there, pitching his little heart out. I hope the rest of the Mets get all riled up from Petey's performance tonight and it carries through the rest of the season. If anything could, you'd think it would be this.Of course, I said that about Piazza's comeback HR too, and I was wrong there.

If he'd have lost it, at least HE'D have lost it

Elster88 Old-Timey Member Posted September 16, 2005 Posted September 16, 2005 Pedro's second complete game shutout in five year. He had one last year too. I hope he can pitch this way next year.____________________________This post had the designation 153) Matt Franco
Guest cooby Guests Posted September 16, 2005 Posted September 16, 2005 Ralph was kind of hard to follow tonight because the crowd was so loud. Plus Fran sounded like he has a cold.
Guest Edgy DC Guests Posted September 16, 2005 Posted September 16, 2005 I imagine Looper was hoping not to get the call.
Elster88 Old-Timey Member Posted September 16, 2005 Posted September 16, 2005 I think it would've been cool if you got the call, Cooby.____________________________This post had the designation 153) Matt Franco
Frayed Knot Old-Timey Member Posted September 16, 2005 Posted September 16, 2005 Nothing like a 2hr 5 min game. Yanx/Jays started at the same time and were only in the 5th when ours ended. American League baseball suxx.OK, who else (besides me) almost jumped out the window when Francoeur first made contact there in the 9th?That was justbarely out on the end of his bat."Ralph was kind of hard to follow tonight because the crowd was so loud"FSNY/MSG def mix the crowd sounds too high. On those few occasions when I actually want to hear what the crew is saying I try turning up the sound ... and then realize that that doesn't work because it just makes the background noise louder too.
Elster88 Old-Timey Member Posted September 16, 2005 Posted September 16, 2005 Matsui's career OPS is up to .701, .657 on the year.____________________________This post had the designation 152) Anthony Young
Elster88 Old-Timey Member Posted September 16, 2005 Posted September 16, 2005 Actually down to .702, since one for three with a single is .666.____________________________This post had the designation 152) Anthony Young
