metirish Old-Timey Member Posted August 29, 2005 Posted August 29, 2005 Marty Noble is the Mets beat writer for MLB.
Guest Edgy DC Guests Posted August 29, 2005 Posted August 29, 2005 Marty Noble is a longtime outstanding sports reporter who has covered the Mets on and off for decades. He has mostly worked for Newsday, but now writes about them for mlb.com.He was also the ghostwriter for a self-absorbed memoir by Lenny Dykstra, opening with "There's six teams in the National League East: the Mets, the Expos, the Phillies, the Cubs, the Pirates and the fucking Cardinals." I've nominated him for the Mets Hall of Fame, but the Mets haven't gotten back to me.
