Frayed Knot Old-Timey Member Posted August 9, 2005 Posted August 9, 2005 I'm kinda thinking that we should be pulling for the Nats this week while they're butting heads w/the 'Stros. I'd be more nervous seeing Houston threatening to run and hide than Washington.I'm holding out little hope of SF doing us any favors (although they just beat Houston 2 of 3).Yanx lost 2-1 to the ChiSox and Contreras.Only the Yanx can turn a 2-1 game into a 3-1/2 hour ordeal.
Guest ScarletKnight41 Guests Posted August 9, 2005 Posted August 9, 2005 Rich Harden is pitching like shit and the Angels have a 7-0 lead over the A's in the second inning of a game that will determine who sits atop the AL West.
metirish Old-Timey Member Posted August 9, 2005 Author Posted August 9, 2005 End of eight and the Nats lead is 6 - 5 against Houston.St. Louis are now beating the Brewers 5 - 2 going to the 9th
Frayed Knot Old-Timey Member Posted August 9, 2005 Posted August 9, 2005 Nats hold on for 6-5 win.Texas and Boston tied up in the 10th ... and now the Sox win it!Cleveland just dropped an 11-spot!! on KC in the top of the 9th to take a 13-7 lead.Still 7-0 Angels, now in the 5th. Loser is the WC leader, 3 games ahead of the Yanx.Bal'mer beats Tampa and Kazmir. Too little too late for the O'sToronto beats Detroit -- this is a good thing too though they're kinda hanging on the fringes of the WC race. Shouldn't have dropped 2 of 3 last weekend.
Frayed Knot Old-Timey Member Posted August 9, 2005 Posted August 9, 2005 Dodgers put up 2 in the 5th off Tejada and the Phils.2-0 w/Brad Penny in charge. And that would be 19 y/o Felix Hernandez making his 2nd ML start who's holding the Twinkies scoreless into the 7th (on 3 hits/0 walks). And his Seattle teammates just handed him a 1-0 lead.
