Minky has clearly lost his mind. He tried to steal second. Luckily Cairo fouled the pitch off.

Cairo then singles to left. First and second, no out, two runs already in.

Solid blue caps and pinstripes today.

Brilliant.

Three errors by the Dodger announcer that half inning. Only two are coming to me now.

1) "Mike Piazza has homered to give the Dodgers a 2-0 lead"
2) "Mike Cameron throws out Jose Reyes trying to steal!"

Beltran is using his legs again! Instead of pulling up at second after a hit in the left-center gap, he took third. Slid in, but he could've gone standing.

Beltran with his second Met triple, climbing the all-time chart.

Come on Cliffy!

Hitting Penny well so far, Floyd with a ball ten feet to the right of the pole, then hits one to straight center. Bradley got his glove on it, but couldn't catch it. ALmost looked to me like Bradley slowed up a little.

Maybe he's just slow. He looks a little chunky after his DL stint. 3-0 Mets.

Floyd steals third. This is a gosh-darn exciting team to watch.

Double for Cliffy.

Milton Bradley is not looking good in center.

Mikey picks up Wright and plates Cliffy for the Mets fourth run.

1-5-3 groundout off of Benson's foot. I thought Robles would beat it out but Wright had him by a couple of strides.

And a #$(*&#(*$& bunt single.

Great bunt by Izturis.

Piazza's ball ate Kent up, but I don't call that a base hit.

Cammy bares his teeth and runs down the final out, jam ended.

Thank you, Cammie.

Everybody say, "Thank you, Cammie."

Holy lack of perspective. I was seeing the whole season in that at-bat.

We need Piazza to make something happen here with 2 outs.

Come on Mike!

A little help from someone actually seeing the game.

Gameday says that Piazza singled to the shortstop, but Floyd got thrown out at the plate trying to score from second base. Was this a freak play or did Floyd run himself into an inning ending play?

Well, Piazza did his job. Was Acta giving mixed signals?.

Posted

Izturis dove and the ball hit his glove and rolled to the left. Floyd stopped from Acta's signal, then Acta started him again. Izturis popped up, got to the ball, and threw him out by 20 feet.

Edgy DC -"Was Acta giving mixed signals?"

Enquiring minds want to know.

Thanks for the explaination.

Could we trade Ishii for a new third base coach?
