metirish Old-Timey Member Posted July 16, 2005 Posted July 16, 2005 I laugh out loud when I hear a caller to the WFAN say that, tonight a guy called and he felt compelled to tell us that he was not nuts like the other callers that have trades in mind, here was his trade...Heilman, Diaz and Humber for Soriano, the caller went on to say Soriano would replace Piazza's bat for years to come.Soriano is a good hitter but not for those three, does he still SO a ton?, what are the crazy trades you hear Mets callers wanting to make?
Guest sharpie Guests Posted July 17, 2005 Posted July 17, 2005 Soriano has a .304 obp this year. He has hit 22 homers but most of those came early and he plays in a good hitters park. Plus he doesn't play a whole lot of defense. It's the Yankee thing that makes these guys want to make these trades. Plus, we just got shut out.
