Guest ScarletKnight41 Guests Posted July 9, 2005 Posted July 9, 2005 Some of us don't use that kind of language out of respect for baseball protocol.
Guest ScarletKnight41 Guests Posted July 9, 2005 Posted July 9, 2005 Scoreless going to the bottom of the 3rd.
Guest KC Guests Posted July 9, 2005 Posted July 9, 2005 No hitter no hitter no hitter. I have powers over the game in Pittsburgh andjust blew it for Ishii? There is nothing more irritating to me than baseball fansnot wanting to say no hitter no hitter no hitter.
Guest ScarletKnight41 Guests Posted July 9, 2005 Posted July 9, 2005 And the no no is no more.Sigh....
Guest ScarletKnight41 Guests Posted July 9, 2005 Posted July 9, 2005 A Pittsburgh hit gives them a 1-0 lead and runners on the corners with one out.

Theoldmole Old-Timey Member Posted July 9, 2005 Posted July 9, 2005 Two men on for the CubansAnd they strand them
Guest ScarletKnight41 Guests Posted July 9, 2005 Posted July 9, 2005 And they're stranded. 2-0 Pittsburgh in the middle of the fourth.
Guest Bret Sabermetric Guests Posted July 9, 2005 Posted July 9, 2005 I've been waiting eagerly to see a Met pitcher throw a no no for well over 40 years, and I don't think I've ever felt more dubious after two perfect innings than I feel with Kaz Ishii. Cone, Seaver, Gooden, even Darling, Koosman, Pedro, hell, even Mlicki, Reed, Harnisch, I would have some hope extended. But Kaz? Zilch. Zippo. Nada.
Theoldmole Old-Timey Member Posted July 9, 2005 Posted July 9, 2005 Aflac trivia: Frank Thomas and Donn Clendenon?
Theoldmole Old-Timey Member Posted July 9, 2005 Posted July 9, 2005 I wonder what else they're doing in Pittsburgh for African-American heritage weekend? I would hope an August Wilson Festival.
Theoldmole Old-Timey Member Posted July 9, 2005 Posted July 9, 2005 And baseball history buff Mike Cameron celebrates!
Guest ScarletKnight41 Guests Posted July 9, 2005 Posted July 9, 2005 I missed how this happened, but suddenly it's a ballgame. 3-2 Pittsburgh in the 5th.
Guest ScarletKnight41 Guests Posted July 9, 2005 Posted July 9, 2005 Cliff Floyd goes Ka Boom! to tie the game at three!
Guest ScarletKnight41 Guests Posted July 9, 2005 Posted July 9, 2005 7-3 Pittsburgh and the 7th ain't over yet. Bell and Graves didn't get the job done tonight.
