Frayed Knot Old-Timey Member Posted July 7, 2005 Posted July 7, 2005 Braves & Cubs playing 2 today due to yesterday's rainout. It was supposed to be Smoltz v Prior last night, but today Atlanta is holding Smoltz out for the night game and throwing Horacio Ramirez first. So naturally the Braves kicked the shit out of Prior while Ramirez is tossing a 2-hitter thru 7.6-0 AtlantaMarlins lead Brewers 5-3 in the 5th and are threatening for more - although it now appears to be raining.Santos vs Moehler
Guest holychicken Guests Posted July 7, 2005 Posted July 7, 2005 I don't understand how mets fans can hate the yankees more than the braves. I hate those stupid Braves and their dumbass tomahawk chop!
Frayed Knot Old-Timey Member Posted July 7, 2005 Author Posted July 7, 2005 "I don't understand how mets fans can hate the yankees more than the braves"Because I don't have to live everyday w/Brave arrogance (if it even exists). And because their owner isn't an egotistical asshole (well, Turner was exactly that at times - but it was outside of baseball).I want to beat them, their constant efficiency often frustrates me, but I've never wanted to see them humiliated and ground into the dirt. In fact, I've usually liked the way they've played. 6-0 final btw. -- Ramirez all the way on a 3-hitter
