Guest ScarletKnight41 Guests Posted June 6, 2005 Posted June 6, 2005 Except for one locked thread at the end, I have activated every thread in the first Featured Archives forum.Whew!
Guest cooby Guests Posted June 6, 2005 Posted June 6, 2005 obscure missives of Mr. LabattTell me about it. His latest effort says that he'll tell us something later.
Guest SwitchHitter Guests Posted June 7, 2005 Posted June 7, 2005 I've done half of VIII --it looked like no one was working on it and I didn't want to get in anyone's way. I also did the song parody forum because that's special to me. I'd'a done more but I a) did a KTE and b) went over and helped a guy with his DNS servers. If I can do half in one day, I can do the other half the next day.BTW and not that it matters, I'm still monstrously huge over there.....
Guest Johnny Dickshot Guests Posted June 7, 2005 Posted June 7, 2005 X is done! I'll move onto the next one that doesn't look like it's being done.
Guest ScarletKnight41 Guests Posted June 7, 2005 Posted June 7, 2005 I'm taking on The Red Light Forum. Assuming ezBoard speeds up to a snail's pace, I should be able to knock that off this morining.
Guest ScarletKnight41 Guests Posted June 7, 2005 Posted June 7, 2005 OK - I finished the Red Light Forum. As I find time today, I'll work on Featured Archives III. With gf taking II, we'll have the featured archives activated pronto.
Guest Edgy DC Guests Posted June 7, 2005 Posted June 7, 2005 Weird stuff! I found one thread in the prediction archives. I responded to it, and the page re-opened with six more threads.
Guest Elster88 Guests Posted June 7, 2005 Posted June 7, 2005 Nice!!! I've been wondering all along how the main forum page still lists the total number of posts. Maybe they are still all there somewhere ripe to be recovered.Or it could just be a coinkydink, maybe ezboard just now happened to restore some threads.
Guest Edgy DC Guests Posted June 7, 2005 Posted June 7, 2005 I couldn't figure it out. I hoped it would be like Hercules' hydra, and, every time I responded to one of the recently restored threads, six more would jump out, but it wasn't meant to be.You know, information about that hacker has got to be worth more than $5,000. He or she's virtually brought this company down.
Guest Frayed Knot Guests Posted June 7, 2005 Posted June 7, 2005 From Mr. Labatt's lastest missive:Q: Why am I still losing threads that were on my board after the attack?A: We have isolated the problem and fixed three issues that were leading to thread loss. These fixes have been applied to all servers and you should not be seeing additional losses after today
Guest ScarletKnight41 Guests Posted June 7, 2005 Posted June 7, 2005 I finished Featured Archives III, and I'm going to take a break from the project. My shoulder is sore from this!
Guest seawolf17 Guests Posted June 7, 2005 Posted June 7, 2005 IP is going to need rotator cuff surgery. Call Dr. Andrews.
Guest ScarletKnight41 Guests Posted June 7, 2005 Posted June 7, 2005 Working through the injury, I just activated the remains of the Adopt-a-Prospect forum.Frayed Knot - does that last ezBoard communication mean that we can stop activating threads?
Guest Willets Point Guests Posted June 7, 2005 Posted June 7, 2005 ScarletKnight41, digital pirate tearing a long arrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr through the CPF archives.
Guest ScarletKnight41 Guests Posted June 7, 2005 Posted June 7, 2005 I'll save talk like that for September 19th ;)
Guest SwitchHitter Guests Posted June 7, 2005 Posted June 7, 2005 VIII is done. This is harder than it looks with a houseful of kids. Especially with not enough computers to go around. I had to actually read a book for awhile today because all of the computers were in use except my son's (which I didn't remember my password on -- he was at summer school). The game will be on soon, so I'm off to watch -- no computers in the rooms with TVs.
Guest ScarletKnight41 Guests Posted June 8, 2005 Posted June 8, 2005 Do we still need to do this?Cooby and I are about a third of the way through General Archives IX. Should we keep going?
Guest ScarletKnight41 Guests Posted June 8, 2005 Posted June 8, 2005 With the exception of one locked thread, cooby got the win and I got the save in activating General Archives IXNow I really need Dr. Andrews......
Guest ScarletKnight41 Guests Posted June 8, 2005 Posted June 8, 2005 This evening I knocked off the Permanent Links forum.
Guest cooby Guests Posted June 8, 2005 Posted June 8, 2005 Scarlett, I believe you did the majority of the work!:)
Guest ScarletKnight41 Guests Posted June 8, 2005 Posted June 8, 2005 It was a joint effort, for sure.
Guest cooby Guests Posted June 8, 2005 Posted June 8, 2005 Some of my joints hurt.Lotta laughs though
