Guest Rockin' Doc Guests Posted June 5, 2005 Posted June 5, 2005 It's time for a little payback. I think that this situation absolutely requires a really futile and stupid gesture be done on somebody's part.
Guest seawolf17 Guests Posted June 5, 2005 Posted June 5, 2005 I think this situation calls for the bats to wake up and whack Jason Schmidt and a bevy of relievers around and win 13-2.

Guest seawolf17 Guests Posted June 5, 2005 Posted June 5, 2005 And THAT, Mr. Randolph, is why you don't double switch David Wright out of the game EVER EVER EVER.
Guest ScarletKnight41 Guests Posted June 5, 2005 Posted June 5, 2005 Beautiful homer by Mr. Wright. Gotta love that boy.
Guest seawolf17 Guests Posted June 5, 2005 Posted June 5, 2005 And Dougie is oooooooooooooooh so close to a home run of his own. He needs a Fonzie-style 6-for-6 game in the worst way.
Guest ScarletKnight41 Guests Posted June 5, 2005 Posted June 5, 2005 So close, yet so far. The little guy and I thought that Minty had that one.VD pops up for out number 2.
Guest Nymr83 Guests Posted June 5, 2005 Posted June 5, 2005 and a big thumbs down to the anouncers for making another flyout by mintky sound like a homerun. :evil:editted for bad spelling.
Guest Rockin' Doc Guests Posted June 5, 2005 Posted June 5, 2005 Nice at bat by Minky. He fouled off several pitches before finally flying out to Alou in deep right.
Guest TheOldMole Guests Posted June 5, 2005 Posted June 5, 2005 A home run is a good thing, but I wouldn't want to restrict any manager to not ever ever ever on anything.
Guest seawolf17 Guests Posted June 5, 2005 Posted June 5, 2005 ]editted for bad spellingClassic.Yes, that was a recruitment commercial for the Brentwood Fire Department on Sunday Night Baseball on ESPN. Bizarre.I am honored to have posted the first KABOOM in CPF2 history.
Guest Rockin' Doc Guests Posted June 5, 2005 Posted June 5, 2005 seawolf17 - " I am honored to have posted the first KABOOM in CPF2 history."Done in by my poor typing skills once again. I hope it is the first of many Kabooms on the new forum.Benson leads off the third with a double.
Guest Rockin' Doc Guests Posted June 5, 2005 Posted June 5, 2005 Reyes with another great at bat by the Mets. Mets at the corners with none out in the third. Bust this thing open boys.
Guest Elster88 Guests Posted June 5, 2005 Posted June 5, 2005 Joe Morgan went on and on about how power in the Japanese Leagues doesn't translate to the major leagues. This may be true, but the genius' main whipping boy was Kaz. He said that Kaz was a power hitter in the Japanese Leagues, right as they posted a graphic showing that he hit 150 home runs in nine seasons.Myself, I didn't realize that 16 and 2/3 home runs a year makes a power hitter.I don't like Joe Morgan.Jose steals second, and Kaz flies out to the warning track to knock in Benson and move Reyes to third. One out, 3-0 Mets.
Guest Rockin' Doc Guests Posted June 5, 2005 Posted June 5, 2005 Beltran hits a sac fly to score Reyes.4-0 good guys.
Guest Johnny Dickshot Guests Posted June 5, 2005 Posted June 5, 2005 I like the moving camera along the 3rd base line.Really nice job by Reyes there, getting a million pitches, then an infield hit, then two bases and a run on fly balls. And nice "producitve outs" by Beltran and Matsui.
Guest ScarletKnight41 Guests Posted June 5, 2005 Posted June 5, 2005 Nice throw by Mr. Wright - we wuz robbed!
Guest ScarletKnight41 Guests Posted June 5, 2005 Posted June 5, 2005 Damn! We wuz robbed twice in one inning! This suxx.Runners on first and second, none out.
Guest Nymr83 Guests Posted June 5, 2005 Posted June 5, 2005 Nice sacrifice work by 3 straight batters (Reyes beat out the bunt) to get 2 runs home!and what a throw by Castro!! I'm starting to really like this guy.
Guest ScarletKnight41 Guests Posted June 5, 2005 Posted June 5, 2005 The runner on first is picked off, then we finally get a call at first, but a bloop hit makes it 4-1 before the inning ends on a fly to center.
Guest ScarletKnight41 Guests Posted June 5, 2005 Posted June 5, 2005 I see that the new home doesn't have a Sacred Seaver Post yet. Just as welll - I forgot about it until I saw the number 41.
Guest ScarletKnight41 Guests Posted June 5, 2005 Posted June 5, 2005 How big is that chaw in Minty's cheek? Eek!
Guest ScarletKnight41 Guests Posted June 5, 2005 Posted June 5, 2005 Mr. Wright steals second after singling to start the bottom of the fourth.Minty walks. Two on, one out.ESPN gives us a football update. WTF?
Guest ScarletKnight41 Guests Posted June 5, 2005 Posted June 5, 2005 Castro walks. The bases are loaded for Benson.
Guest Rockin' Doc Guests Posted June 5, 2005 Posted June 5, 2005 Castro walked, so it really didn't matter, but I like Willie sending the runners there. Kenson with a chance to knock his counterpart out of the game.
Zach Thornton Syracuse Mets - AAA LHP On Sunday, the southpaw tossed five shutout innings as the bulk pitcher. He gave up 2 hits, walked 2 and had 5 strikeouts. Explore Zach Thornton News >
